About Recruit and Retain
Paul created Recruit and Retain after seeing many organisations facing difficulty in recruiting effectively and wasting significant resources on external recruitment support, when all they truly needed was a little training to master the techniques of recruitment.
Effective strategies used by recruiters are often simple and don't require additional spend. However, if you are not aware of these strategies, they cannot be put into practice.
Given the current recruitment and retention crisis affecting so many sectors, effective recruitment is essential. Organisations can also address this crisis by retaining their existing staff, reducing the need for constant recruitment.
This is where Recruit and Retain comes in, providing understanding and training of recruitment strategies alongside retention, in equal measures.
Through years of interacting with thousands of professionals, Recruit and Retain have gained a thorough understanding of the factors that lead to employee turnover, what keeps them engaged and what motivates people to stay.
We assist our clients in understanding the reasons why qualified candidates are not applying, identifying any barriers in the recruitment process and highlighting the strengths of your organisation to make it more attractive to potential hires.
Our goal is to not only improve the success rate of the recruitment process for our clients, but also make it a more enjoyable experience, giving you the tools to help retain your top talent.
I started my career as a shop manager for Cancer Research UK and eventually rose to the role of Fundraising Director.
Frustrated by my experiences with recruiters, both as a recruiting manager and job seeker, I transitioned to the recruitment side of the sector where I spent 15 years supporting a wide range of organisations to help them find amazing staff.
Throughout my time as a recruiter, I was proud to be the most recommended third sector recruiter on LinkedIn.
I have mentored and continue to coach individuals from entry-level positions to Chief Executives, helping them define their own vision of success and create career plans that balance their work and personal lives.
I love the charity sector, so remain an advisor for a number of trustee boards. I believe in giving back to the sector and train the Fundraising Directors of tomorrow with the CIOF Future Leaders Programme, talking at conferences and mentoring some incredible individuals.
